The Vacancy News
March 29, 2020
**DATES AND TIMES OF EVENTS MAY BE CHANGED
OR CANCELED DUE TO THE SPREAD OF THE COVID
19 VIRUS.**
The Elders have met through our new conference call portal and
have decided to move forward with the call process. Times are
difficult but they always have been, and will continue to be, as
we have learned through the preaching of the Word. The call
committee will meet this Monday, March 30th to decide on the
final three recommended candidates from the five we inter-
viewed: Daniel Grimmer, Mark Birkholtz, Jonathan Mumme,
Kevin Mann and John Taggatz.
Call Committee: Andy Schmitt
Mark Mathe
Chris Neumann
Alex Ourada
Dan Kaiser
Terry Ourada
Rachel Mumme
Nancy Eberhardt
Elizabeth Laubenstein
We are optimistic that the Safer at Home order will be lifted on
April 24th and if it is, we will hold our quarterly congregational
meeting, or a call meeting, tentatively, on April 26th and/or
May 3rd. These dates are yet to be determined.
We are working diligently to keep everything within our congre-
gation on a normal even keel. The service bulletin is prepared
every week for our prayers, intercessions, weekly devotions and
news. We will continue to email them to our members. Please
share with our members that do not have internet access. A
phone call reaching out to them and reading them the bulletin
and inserts will help us all deal with our social isolation.
Pastor Scheblein has taken the initiative to create and host a
weekly prayer service available to us on YouTube. The directions
are as follows:
1. Go to YouTube.com
2. Search>> EMMANUEL LCMS ADELL
3. Click on the Big E in the circle
4. Click on the video (Emmanuel Lutheran Adell, WI March 29,
2020 LENT 5)
5. PLEASE HIT THE SUBSCRIBE BUTTON AND LIKE
THE VIDEO SO YOUTUBE KNOWS WE EXIST.
We are in the process of having all our bulletins, newsletters and
YouTube videos available on our website www.emmanueladell.org
This site, unfortunately, has been neglected and we are working
to get it up to date. Please visit it daily as we improve and update
the site.
A request for “Safer at Emmanuel” yard work crews has come
to mind. Could we get individual or family volunteers to rake
and clean the campus grounds? All hours and times would be
allotted to one individual/family unit, and the area that is next in
need of attention. I do believe this would be in concordance
with the governor’s directive as we keep our social distance with
only one family on the grounds at any time. Email Andy Schmitt
if you are interested.
To add or delete prayer requests from the bulletin’s prayer list,
please contact the Church Secretary at (920) 994-9005 or by

In case of death or illness, please contact Mark Mathe. Please note that these
numbers are for Emmanuel emergencies only. Please use these
numbers for their intended purpose only and should only be
shared with congregation members.
