ADULT CATECHESIS (BIBLE STUDY)
Our aim as Christians is a life of faith and devotion. To this end, the following Bible Classes are offered this year and taught by our Pastor. All Bible Studies are held in our recently-renovated Memorial Hall.
- Coffee Break Bible Study — Thursday Mornings 9:15 am
- Isaiah, chapters 40-55
Oftentimes Lutherans and other Christians characterize the Bible by saying, "the Old Testament is law; the New Testament is Gospel." Anyone who has said that has not read the book of Isaiah. Isaiah is full of Gospel promises, pointing to the One Who would redeem us from our sins by dying a horrible death on the rross. These chapters from Isaiah (to be studied upon the completeion of the Peacemakers bible study) will be an excellent preparation for the season of Lent, becauas of these very Gospel themes found in these chapters. You are cordially invited to bring one or more friends to our Thursday Morning Study, held in Memorial Hall.
- Sunday Mornings following Divine Service
- Matthew chapters 1-11.
In this study we will examine Jesus' nativity, the visit of the Magi, the person and work of John the Baptist, and the ministry of Jesus, focusing upon His extensive Sermon on the Mount.
Are you a family with young children (under the age of 4)? Would you like to come to our Sunday morning Bible Study, but you need childcare for your young children? We can help! Nursery care is available for all children under the Sunday School age (age 4) so that parents can attend the Sunday Morning Bible Class.
